Brand new hotel with very nice rooms and extremely pleasant staff. I Did not eat there although the menu looked intersting and the prices reasonable. |

I couldn't wait to leave a review of the Blue Bell. This hotel has recently been refurbished to such a high quality, the room was superb and quite luxurious. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I must recommend that you dine in the restuarant as the food was so delicious.
Although I wasn't impressed with Neath as a town I can't wait to come back to this area and stay at the Blue Bell again. Excellent ******* |

My family and I stayed at the Bluebell last weekend as part of a function they were hosting for the public for the Rugby Internationals and what a fantastic time we had there!
At check-in we were met by a happy and professional receptionist who also co-ordinated our car-parking. The rooms are fabulous and very luxurious with eveything you would expect in a hotel of this standard, plus the extra touches were nice.
The rugby event early evening was well co-ordinated and the food which was served prior to the game - a four course meal was unbelievable. The kitchen is open so you can see how spotlessly clean and organised they are, plus 2 of our guests were vegetarian and the chef was quite happy to cater for their requirements.
All in all we had a great time at the Bluebell and will definately go back. |

Maybe a full english breakfast would have been more enjoyable, then an continental breakfast, but other then that a fantastic night spent at the hotel. I would like to say a big thankyou to the bar staff and reception staff for thier polite and friendly welcome.
Definatly stay here again. |

We thought it was a fabulously decadent hotel and enjoyed every minute of our stay - only wish we could have stayed longer. |

Probably one of the top hotels I have stayed. Not a complaint about anything. Food was of a michelin class. |

Gorjus Hotel, Best one I've stayed in for a long while. Very modern, Bright and welcoming, with an exellent restaurant.
The cleanliness was second to none, all of the staff were very polite and friendly and more than happy to look after you without effort.
The only negative was the parking which was limited and difficult There is space underneath the hotel but only room for four cars which requires some carefull manouvering to gain access in and out, however this has not put me off going again, Had a really enjoyable couple of days and I will be Back!! Ps Choice of breakfast was fab, all included in the price. |

I just wanted to say thank you for a fabulous over night stay last Friday night. As I frequent user of the hotel for functions and meals I always enjoy the experience, but the standard of the beautiful accomodation and the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff compelled me to write and say thank you. I would definitely stay again and have highly recommended your hotel to both friends and family. Thanks again. |

Brilliant!!!!!
Beautiful little hotel in Neath. It is a little gem in a busy town. The decor is stunning and the food is superb. I couldn't believe the price we paid, for what seems like a 5 star Hotel. Well done to the owners and staff for a little diamond in Wales! |

Best Hotel Ever
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Although the location Neath is not the nicest of places the hotel more than makes up for this and it is easy to get to local places of interest.
The Hotel is very modern and clean obviously a very lot of money has been spent on its renovation. The staff were superb from the moment we entered the reception to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble.
The Food in the hotel is second to non and very reasonably priced.
We paid £69 per room per night bed and breakfast which was way too little for a hotel of this quality. If it were anywhere else £150 would have been more the mark.
The only downside was the parking which is very tight but we always managed to get a spot.
Well done the owners and staff of this very good hotel.........you all deserve a pat on the back. |

Wow!
This hotel is a little gem and we couldn't believe our luck when we checked in. The staff were all incredibly friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Above all, the decor and fittings were top class and made for an incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay. Our daughter of 11-months made her self thoroughly at home and managed to sleep through the night from 7pm to 7am without stiring once, despite being in a cot beside our bed - amazing! We definitely intend to return and would recommend this hotel to anyone both for business or pleasure. |

Gorgeous hotel
We stayed in the 'Executive Suite' and it was worth every penny. The entire hotel has been laid out nicely, decorated well and is a great place to stay for travelling in Wales as long as you have a car. The rooms were beautiful and intelligently designed. The beds were so comfortable, we found it hard to leave! The bathroom was so clean and even had a televsion! I would stay here if I am ever in Wales again. |

The hotel is a huge boost to the town of Neath. Nothing else comes close. Very friendly helpful staff, delightful, thoughtfully laid out rooms. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of food on offer - bigger tea pot desirable! Location very accessible to both railway station and shops. |

What a corker
Had read previous reviews and hoped I chosen well so was delighted to see the quality of this small hotel.
Fitments are of good quality, beds comfortable and room just lovely. One small gripe asked for some more toiletries as there were three of us - none appeared. Plan to stay there again to tour the area more. |

I would like to ask that the Management of the Bluebell Hotel be made aware of the most wonderful time we had in the Restaurant yesterday, Sunday 7th February, 2010. I booked for 12.30 p.m. for 15 adults and two children to celebrate my Mother's 95 birthday, as we all wanted to have a special day and the Restaurant was recommended to me by a work colleague. What a wonderful venue!! Your Restuarant Manager, Wayne Phillips, and all his staff were exceptional - very professional and the Service by the Waiters, Waitresses, Kitchen and Bar Staff was prompt and fuss-free - everything timed to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble and the quality of the food and its presentation was fantastic. Wayne's exceptional work ethics and high standards are reflected in his tremendous Management skills and his vibrant personality coupled with his impeccable and immaculate presence makes him a wonderful Ambassador for both the Restuarant and the Hotel. We will definitely be recommending the venue to friends and family, and if we have another function, I will definitely be back!! Thanks again for a wonderful, enjoyable, landmark day - my Mum was thrilled, as were we all. |

Long Weekend at the Bluebell
I took my hubby to the Bluebell for a long weekend to celebrate his birthday. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was really trendy and tidy. Parking is a big issue though as the hotel has 25 rooms and only about 10 parking spaces - though the staff were really helpful in helping "squeeze us in".
We ate on the first night in La Mancha, the hotels restaurant (and to be honest the nicest restaurant we found in Neath). Although it wasn't cheap and the staff were not overly attentive they were all polite and the starters and steaks we had were really tasty and the atmoshpere was nice.
Although Neath is not particularly exciting it was a great base to visit the surrounding area from - Swansea is only about half an hour away and picturesque Mumbles not much further. |

Great customer service and excellent hotel.
Right from check in to check out our experience at this hotel was excellent. Good check in with Sam at reception and really roomy quiet bedroom on the third floor which also had a sofabed which would have been ideal for families. Bathroom had bath and separate shower all of which were immaculate. Congratulations to the cleaning staff! Tea tray with biscuits, and ironing board hidden in wardrobe. Restaurant had no menu you just chose your meat or fish from the cold cabinet and it was cooked to perfection. Good variety for breakfast. All in all excellent accommodation for both leisure and business. |

Brilliant Hotel & Service
What a gem! Customer service was excellent and the food was definately the best in town. I do hope the hotel expand into other areas as the quality was better than some 4 star hotels in London. |
July 2010 |
Highly recommended
This was a luxurious stay in a high quality room which was very quiet. The car park is small and I arrived late with no space but the staff were very accomodating and found me a place and moved
my car early that morning. I left my expensive Bose earphones in the hotel and these were forwarded to me first class , recorded delivery. I would definitely stay there again. |

As much as I love Neath, I must admit - it's not the first place I'd imagine to find a classy, comfortable, fully featured yet reasonably priced hotel like the Bluebell!
Room was clean tidy and spacious - and despite being on a noisy road we didn't hear a thing from outside (or neighbouring rooms).... bed was so comfortable we were looking for the mattress brand name - shower was lovely.... while fast internet as standard and full cooked breakfast (with choice of continental) was the icing on the cake.
Really, I can't recommend this place enough.
Very high standard of service” |
August 2010 |
I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so after my stay at the Bluebell.
I can only agree with the other reviewers that the standard of service and the quality and finish of the bedrooms was excellent. The breakfast was also first class.
Many other hotels could learn how it should be done from the Bluebell and I will definitely use this hotel again.
Very well appointed & run Hotel” |
October 2010 |
I stayed at the Bluebell for 2 nights with work colleagues whilst on business. The rooms were large and extremely clean - the Decor was in quite a designer style and felt very lavish. Internet is free and fairly fast - rooms have their own safe & minibar also.
Staff were extremely polite and service was extremely good - no waiting at breakfast even when busy. We ate in the hotels La Mancha restaurant on the second night. Food and drink were of a high quality - but remember that Veg is a side order so dont forget to ask for it. As mentioned in other reviews, parking is an issue but we parked on the street outside the hotel which is unrestricted between 18.00 - 09.00 and our brand new hire car survived without incident. In summary, this very well appointed hotel is of a very high standard - although in a slightly rundown area (slightly out of place) I would strongly recommend it to any other visitor to the area - access to main travel routes is very easy. (I have heard horror stories about some of the neighbouring hotels so would say always pick this one) |
October 2010 |
My wife and I thought this was truely an excellent hotel. I have recently retired from a large multinational company and travelled the world for over 30 years, staying at top class hotels. This was up there with the very best.

Everyone was so helpful and cheery. Rooms are luxurious & food excellent. Visting for my son's wedding where the Reception was being held. Certainley know how to arrange a wedding breakfast.
Parking was a problem, not enough places for the size of the Hotel. |
October 2010 |
This hotel is probably the best I have stayed in, although the location is not ideal. From check in to departure the service was excellent. The breakfast sets you up for the day, so much choice and all very good quality. The rooms are very modern and the hotel is quiet at night, even given that we overlooked the main Swansea to London railway line. Easy access to the railway and the M4. |

Fantastic stay
This hotel is fantastic. The staff - without exception are great, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is brilliant and again, nothing too much trouble. |
